Calibration

What is standard

All Dewetron systems are shipped with a certificate of compliance with our published standards for that product. Of course, each system is calibrated at our factory before it is shipped, although the calibration certificates are not normally provided unless they are ordered.

Calibration at Dewetron

Dewetron CAL LAB in Graz
Dewetron maintains two top-notch calibration facilities with the same equipment: one at our worldwide headquarters in Austria, and another at Dewetron USA in Rhode Island. You can send your system to Dewetron USA for NIST traceable calibration. Our cal lab is based on the Fluke 5500 series calibrators, and we run the METCAL calibration system, which allows us to automate nearly every process. To arrange to have your system calibrated at Dewetron USA, please contact us at your convenience. When we calibrate your system, it is returned with NIST traceable calibration certificates in hard copy form.

Customer side calibration

Some of our customers have a calibration facility of their own, and prefer to do their own calibration in-house. For this we recommend that you purchase the CAL-KIT. This is a handy kit in a hardshell case which includes the CAL MANUAL, as well as a useful assortment of interconnection parts, extender cables, precision resistors, timing caps ... basically all of the working parts that are mentioned and shown in the CAL MANUAL. Of course, you need to provide your own traceable calibrator and meter. Or you may purchase the CAL MANUAL itself. Either way, once you purchase the manual or the entire kit, you are eligible to receive updates to the manual in electronic form.

What’s Next?

Starting in 2009, Dewetron USA will calibrate all systems according to NIST (including products made in Austria), and will store the certificates in PDF form, and make them available here for on-line purchase! Thus you will be able to buy cal certs for any product purchased after that time.
